Our work in pharmaceutical packaging centres on the embossing of foil blister packs for medicines. These are among the more technically precise applications we serve the emboss must function correctly at the point of use, hold up to regulatory and brand standards, and be reproduced consistently across high-volume production runs.
The embossing can take several forms: the entire strip of tablets may carry a background texture or pattern; the raised dome around each individual pill can be embossed to aid identification or improve grip; or a discrete logo, geometric shape or brand motif can be applied to a specific area of the pack. Often a combination of these elements is used.

In each case the emboss serves a practical function: it stiffens the material, improves grip, aids peeling and gives the product a more finished, considered appearance.
