Film embossing ranges from photographic paper, the fine sand grained texture matt effect, to an extruded plastic film like polythene, which is manufactured from plastic pellets then air blown through an extruder.
Embossed film is used between the rubber in car tyres as the embossing means the surfaces can separate easily and doesn’t stick to itself.
